Sandy Run Middle School
In the interest of acknowledging the importance of good character among our Sandy Run Middle School students, we have implemented the SHINE Awards at Sandy Run. This program will recognize those students who stand out to their teachers as individuals who display exceptional character here at school. The criteria for determining this select group is found in the name of the program, as SHINE is an acronym which highlights the qualities of Selflessness, Humility, Integrity, Nobility, and Empathy.
SRMS 7th grade girls basketball champions!
The amazing amusement park opened this past week at Sandy Run Middle School! Mr. Miller's 8th grade science classes were asked to demonstrate their knowledge of force and motion through the creation of a working model amusement park. Each class was organized into their own manufacturing entity where a CEO and operating officers were elected to manage the entire project. As a result, the class worked as one cohesive unit to plan, design, and manufacture their finished park.

Our Motto is: Character Academics Responsibility Diversity Success
The school is designed to foster a humanistic approach to education where the primary focus centers on students who are making the transition from childhood through adolescence to adulthood. The blending of elementary and secondary staffs helps generate and maintain articulation of scope and sequence throughout the K-12 system. Within this structure the middle school staff is charged with making education relevant to the needs and interests of individual students.
