DESIGNATED A NO PLACE FOR HATE SCHOOL!

Dual School Theme for 2010-2011:

1 - NO PLACE FOR HATE: Building a Better Tomorrow!  - Year 3

2 - GO FISH FOR SUCCESS

NO PLACE FOR HATE!  Building a better tomorrow!  Under Construction!

The Anti-Defamation League, in partnership with many organizations, created No Place for Hate.  The program empowers schools and communities to challenge intolerance, bullying, and indifference through action and education.

No Place for Hate fosters a culture of collaboration and cooperation in schools. It empowers schools and communities to promote respect for individual and group differences while challenging prejudice and bigotry. Participating schools make a public commitment to fostering respectful environment for all. Students are asked to sign a Resolution of Respect, which schools display so that everyone is aware of the commitment to diversity.

HOOKED ON LEARNING:  The FISH Philosophy

Hooked on Learning:  FISH Philosophy is based on the organizational philosophy at Seattle's Pike Place Fish Market.  FISH FOR SCHOOLS is a research based approach in helping schools better manage their school culture by shaping every day the attitudes of their students, the choices they make from moment to moment, and by the way they choose to treat each other. the four key concepts that make up the Fish Philosophy:

  1. Be There -  for each other by staying focused on what we are doing and how we are doing it.
  2. Choose Your Attitude - good and bad things happen every day, we can always choose our attitude.
  3. Make Their Day - a kind gesture can make their day when we do things, big and small, to make others feel good.
  4. Play - we all know that learning is more fun when we throw ourselves into something and when everyone has fun it adds to the excitement of learning.
