First Day of School For Kindergarten: September 2 and September 7 will be screening days for Kindergarten students. 30-minutes sessions can be scheduled with the building secretary at registration. The afternoon of September 8 will be the orientation day for Kindergarten at 2:00 pm. Parents and children are invited to attend this orientation session. Thursday, 9/9 and Friday, 9/10 schools will be closed for the Jewish holiday.The first full day of school for Kindergarten will be Monday, 9/13.
First day of School for Grades 1-5: Tuesday, 9/7/10 will be the first day of school for students in grades 1-5. Thursday, 9/9 and Friday, 9/10 schools will be closed for the Jewish holiday.

The district has a ListServ system called "eNotify"
One of the goals of the technology plan has been to use technology to increase communication across the district. One of the tools we have been using is through the use of a ListServ software on our email server. The popularity of our ListServs as well as the increase in Internet Service Providers using more restrictive SPAM filtering requires us to upgrade our system. As part of the new district website, our vendor provides us with a tool called, eNotify.
- What is eNotify? - eNotify allows users of the website to subscribe to various notification methods, one of which is an email/ListServ. Other features include SMS messages (text messages) and calendar reminders.
- Can I receive other notifications other than email? - You can select to be delivered as a text message to your phone, an email, or both. Please note that you may incur applicable fees from your cell phone carrier for which you are responsible.
- Does participation in the eNotify system have any relation to the emergency notification system that calls my home for school closings? - No, although the district will be utilizing both means of communication, they are two separate systems.
If you would like to receive information on school and district events as well as any weather notifications, you may subscribe to one of our "list serv" electronic mailing lists. Subscribe to the list for the school your child attends for specific information pertaining to that school, as well as general district information. If you are a community member not affiliated with a particular school and would like to receive general district information, subscribe to the UDSD list.
Registering for eNotify is quick and easy:
- Click the Subscribe/Edit My eNotify Settings link here.
- If you are a new user you will need to complete the fields.
- The next screen allows you to select the eNotify lists you wish to subscribe. (NOTE: you can always log into your profile and remove or add additional lists)
- Click Update Settings.
- You can return to this page at any time to modify your lists or change settings by logging in with your username and password.

Welcome to Maple Glen Elementary School! We are greatly honored to serve the children and parents of the community. Maple Glen has a highly motivated professional and support staff that provides a firm educational foundation for continued, life long learning. We seek to provide a positive school climate and a safe learning environment. Our desire is to challenge every student to achieve excellence. Registration for 2010-2011 School Year
All registration applicants should call the Central Registration Office at 215-643-8971 to schedule an appointment. Registrations are taken Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 3 p.m. (closed noon - 1:00 p.m. for lunch)
PROOF OF RESIDENCY (Supply one)
- Copy of settlement paper, deed or Upper Dublin School or Township tax bill
- Copy of rental lease
- Copy of agreement awarding custody to resident of Upper Dublin Township
- Notarized multiple occupancy affidavit
- Notarized Section 1302 affidavit
PROOF OF BIRTH
The student entering kindergarten in September must be 5 years of age by September 15th. (Please supply one)
- Birth Certificate
- Baptismal Certificate
- Passport
PROOF OF IMMUNIZATION (Supply all dates with doctor’s signature)
- Three doses of Diphtheria, Tetanus
- 4th Diphtheria, Tetanus administered after 4th birthday (grades K-3)
- Three doses of Polio Vaccine (OPV or IPV)
- Three doses of Hepatitis B vaccine (grades K-11)
The following vaccines must be administered after 12 months of age
- Two doses of MMR
- 1 dose of Varicella (chickenpox) vaccine (grades K-4 & gr. 7-11) if given before 12th birthday
- 2 doses of Varicella (chickenpox) vaccine if given after 13th birthday - or
- Laboratory evidence of Varicella disease or written statement from parent
FOR STUDENTS IN GRADES 6-12
- To comply with district policy, #218.2 – Prohibition of Weapons on School Property – a Parental Registration Statement, supplied by the registration office, must be completed by the parent/guardian.
