High school students have joined the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit's Voices for Education program, a student leadership initiative that promotes advocacy for public education. Throughout the year, students build their leadership skills while preparing to advocate for issues that matter to them.
This year, our students are considering changes that would enable more educators to oversee internships—an idea that strongly aligns with our district goal to provide innovative, real-world learning experiences. The program will culminate with a trip to the Capitol Building in Harrisburg, where students will meet with representatives and senators to practice their advocacy firsthand.
