Sandy Run Middle School

Sandy Run eighth graders are learning to navigate the real, professional process of writing—studying mentor texts, experimenting with craft, and refining their flash fiction through multiple rounds of revision. After sharing their polished pieces with peers, a group of standout writers was selected to present in a grade-wide showcase. These accomplished young authors will now have the opportunity to submit their work to the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards as we continue to celebrate the students' creativity, hard work, and growth as writers.
