child development

The #UDSD Child Development program gives high school students the opportunity to explore careers in education, pediatrics, social work, family law, and more. They study developmental theories, classroom management, child psychology, and other relevant topics—building skills that prepare them for real-world teaching and mentorship.

Through a partnership with Montgomery County Head Start, students gain real-world experience while making a positive impact. Here, they lead a variety of STEM activities for preschoolers, learning how to guide, connect with, and inspire the next generation of learners.
