Last week, I got to sit behind a different desk—one of the brand-new ones in a kindergarten classroom while visiting to support a "kid-writing" session. Spending time chatting with these young students was full of surprises, from their thoughtful questions to confidently spelling words like “sympathy,” and it was a refreshing reminder of just how curious, capable, and delightfully unpredictable our youngest learners can be.
In this edition of News from the Nest, we highlight just some of those capabilities and the educators who nurture and bring them to life every day. You will find celebrations from our music and arts programs, updates from the Board Education Committee, glimpses into daily school life, and a reminder of important mental health resources available to our community.
We also look forward to welcoming you on Monday evening for our Cultural Celebration—we hope to see you there!
