Dr. Smith is creating new ways for students, families, and community members to offer their perspectives and help inform district initiatives. She recently spoke with UDTV student reporter Noah Snyder about opportunities for students to get involved and share their voices: serving on the District's Equity and Empowerment Subcommittee and participating in an AI Think Tank. Students interested in joining these groups should look for flyers in Upper Dublin High School with sign-up information.
She is also launching Cardinal Collaborations, a series of workshops where parents, guardians, and community members can share their perspectives on a specific topic. The first session, focused on Student Digital Learning, will be held Thursday, November 12.
“I recognize the importance of stakeholder perspectives. I want our team to make recommendations and decisions driven by our mission while balancing the many factors involved in operating a school district, from staffing and state requirements to security and logistics. Just as importantly, I want to hear from our community, value the perspectives they bring, and consider how each decision looks through their eyes.”
